  1. I'm just arrived in London: it's very cold!
The family is very kind and I have had my first english dinner, chiken with vegetables, talking with the house owners.
I feel happy and curious to try this new experience.
Tomorrow I will start the English course, I hope to find the lesson not too difficult for me!
    See you soon!

  2. Hi Samuele!
It's a very pleasure to hear you!
Today it has been my first day lesson and I'm very tired because in the morning I had two sessions with a teacher for each one: the first part was on grammar and use of english and the second part was on communication skills. The afternoon one-to-one class has been focussed on my needs which are to improve my law and economics vocabulary. I have met two very good teachers so I think that I can learn a lot from them.
About your concerns, take it easy. Not only we can keep in touch, but I'm sure you will get on in your school !
    All the best
    Sandra

  3. Dear Sandra, I'm happy you are appreciating the teachers and the school, it will be tiring but it's worth!
We just came back from Bournemouth, sometimes exhausting but we also had a lot of fun with the students.
Let me know how it goes on.....

  4. Dear Roberta,
today I feel better because I did my lesson only in the morning. My classroom is composed by eleven students, who are far younger than me...!No one is italian, they come from China, Japan and East Europe.
In the afternoon I have been in Piccadilly Circus because there is a very big book shop where I bought " Economics in higher education studies", that is suitable for foreign students.
Everything seems to go on well........
    See you
    Sandra

  5. Dear Sandra, it's good that it's an international classroom, so you have the opportunity to practice the language and if they are young..... good , the younger, the better!!!!
    Hugs and kisses , Roberta

  6. Hi Roberta,
I agree with you when you say that I can practice the language better if there are foreign students but I hope to meet some adults next week!I'm sometimes embarrassed....
Anyway, I've just come back home from London, where I saw " The Phantom of the opera" at the theatre: it's a fantastic musical. I enjoined it very much!

  7. Hi everybody,
this afternoon I have to stay at home to study because tomorrow morning I'm doing the school weekly test. It will be about injuries and illnesses, so I have to memorize a lot of specific terms like scan,rash,stiches,plaster.....I'll try to do my best!
    I let you know... Sandra

  8. Hi everybody,
I have had a very hard day. In the morning I did the test: luckily it wasn't too difficult so I think that it has gone well. In the afternoon I had my second one-to-one lesson where we talked about " Rights at work" and in particular I read a bulletin about an industrial tribunal on smoking. It has been very interesting because I feel I'm improving my legal vocabolary and my skills on speaking activities.

  9. Hi,
today and tomorrow no english lessons so I feel less student and more tourist....I visited the Natural History Museum,it's really fantastic! I liked a lot the Human Biology hall because it's very gripping to see as an human being grows up in the womb. I appreciated the section about volcanos and earthquakes as well: in a room you can try an earthquake simulation and I think it is the best way to let you understand how you feel during that moment....
Anyway, Samuele are you ready to start your English experience? Let me know
    Sandra

  10. Hi everybody!
Today I met my friend Maria, who lives in London, and we had lunch together at Villandry restaurant in St. James. It's a nice place in central London and I recommend it.
After lunch we explored the West End and tried the traditional English cream tea: a tea of choice with scones, clotted cream and jam. It was fantastic and I want to try iy again!
Tomorrow back to school full-time, no more fancy things!

  11. Hi Sandra! Good to know everything`s going on well.
We also had our cream tea in Bournemouth. As Roberta said we had a great (even if quite hectic) time there.
If you have time try and visit the Saatchi gallery, too. They generally have special exhibitions and the area is also very pleasant to see. Have a nice time!
    A big hug

Long, long day...Morning in the classroom, afternoon one-to-one lesson. It's been tiring but very interesting and stimulating. The one-to-one topic has been on banks and stock market, in detail we discussed the actual situation after recession and the posssibility of a "Brexit" (UK leaving EU)...
    Bye,bye

  16. Hi Sara, it's really true that London is wonderful! I like it very much!I had a nice walk in Hampstead in the afternoon and admired the West End from above. Going back I stopped in Camden Town to visit the popular market where I found some unusual presents for my family.
Unfortunately I'll have to visit Saatchi gallery another time, because at the moment is closed to get ready for next week "London Fashion Weekend"

  17. Hi Roberta!
I didn't notice any new teaching methodologies but being a mixed class from everywhere in the world, it's very beneficial for English conversation. In addition speaking is a central part in every lesson: initially we are made to work in pairs and then we have a general dicussion.
Let me say that a class of only 10-12 students is a great help!
I feel that this experience has certainly improved my spoken English...
    Bye Sandra

Entrata gratuita, 10-17, metro Holborne. Il sabato mattina il Borough market il piu' importante mercato alimentare sotto la ferrovia Di Southwark Cathedral. Worth while! 22. Hi Sandra,
    how are you? Nice experience?
I just got back home from Lithuania.
I was there with Luisa Dal Pozzo, Carmelo Barchitta and 6 students, working for an Erasmus+ project on robotics.
It was a wonderful experience, and the students were very happy.
    See you soon :-)
